Been a busy day today at Magic Lady Cakes have had enquires for three cakes today a 3yr old, a baby shower cake and a Bob the builder cake. Have given them prices but as yet nothing has been confirmed. I hope they come back would be nice to build up a customer base.

Also contacted free cakes for kids today as would love to do something like that but as yet they have not got back to me.

Also got in touch with Amazon about my food mixer and to give credit were credit is due they were brillliant and have now sent me another one out. It should be here on Monday all I need now is a cake order to make.

Took all the icing of my cake dummmies today was a lot easier than I expected and re iced one of them to do a demo mum cake will finish it of tomorrow going to do a collage of red roses with  I love mum in the middle

Network Meeting at G Casino

Had a brilliant morning at the Network meeting organised by Christine Holmes met up with a lot of old friends and made lots of new ones. Took some cupcakes for free tasteres which went down very well hoping to get some orders of the back of them and all the leaflets I gave out

Did get an order for 24 childrens cupcaks that the lady wanted for this evening but not going to turn work away so rushed home and started baking,.

First Cake Baked for 2013

This is the first time I have done a carved cake and was pleased with the outcome although I do feel there is room for improvement.

Back in the Kitchen

Morning all today I am back in the kitchen baking the first order for the  year a cake in the shape of a Police car for a lucky  little boys 3rd birthday.

I hope you are all having a lovely New Years Day and not to many of you are suffering. I am afraid I was a bit of a light weight this year and didn't make midnight. Didn't even have a drink and was in bed and fast asleep by eleven.

Fondant Figures

This is my first attempt at making figures they are supposed to depict my granddaughter sitting next to her idol Harry Styles from One Direction it took me ages to get them right and I made three sets of legs for my granddaughter before I was happy.
